Practical review · before going live
What to check in your WhatsApp integration
Start with these six areas. The PDF expands them into twelve checks with space to record evidence, owners and the next action.
Access route and ownership
Identify whether you are connecting your own business or serving other businesses. Record who administers the assets and which documents the account requests.
Phone number and access
Confirm the number, authorized access and onboarding route you will use. Review the PIN and registration or migration requirements with your technical lead.
Permissions and reviews
Record the required permissions and their status. Prepare the requested demonstrations when App Review applies; otherwise, document why it does not apply.
Templates and contact
Define when and why you will contact a person. Check each template’s category, language, variables and status, together with contact permission and preferences.
Verified delivery
Match each test message ID to its webhook statuses and the result on the receiving phone. An accepted HTTP response alone does not demonstrate that the message arrived.
Operation and handover
Assign human support and an incident procedure. Request a written scope that separates implementation, operation and third-party usage costs.
Turn each check into a decision
Mark each control as ready with evidence, pending with an owner and next action, or not applicable with a reason. Resolve critical pending items and verify the actual workflow before going live.
